The 2010 WCC season is off to a great start, with the first three races shattering participation records!

The WCC has expanded our free entry program in 2010 to include all Elementary School and Junior High School runners who participate in a WCC race for the first time. Join in the fun! Give distance running a try and find out how much fun it can be.

Featured Runner- Shulamite Wan
Our next featured runner is Shulamite Wan. Shu is a relative newcomer to the WCC and implements cross-training into her lifestyle to enhance her running. When she's not running, Shu can often be found in the pool swimming laps in an effort to obtain a high fitness level for her entire body.
Shu is in training for the Bourbon Chase 200 mile relay race and plans to run her first marathon in November in New York City.
Shu graciously took time out of her busy schedule to share her thoughts as a runner.
How/when did you become a runner? Did anyone inspire you to do so?
I started running in July of 2008 in an effort to work off the weight I
